Pepper Twins

Today we’re taking it to Kirby with Pepper Twins.

There’s nothing better in the world than to catch up with friends you haven’t seen in a long time cause both of y’all are busy. Thank god I have friends like that. Lipsticks and Margaritas and I had a catch up dinner after I came back from Asia.

We were both hungry and we both enjoy the same types of food. The servers are quite attentive, while I was waiting for LM servers kept coming up asking if I was ready to order. (I love attentive servers). We ordered Golden Eggplant – Salty Duck Egg Yolk and Eggplant -, Green Tea Noodles Garlic Chili Whole Fish, with Live Fish/Tilapia, and Sautéed Broccoli Mushroom and Snow Peas.

This dish was good. Nothing too special about it. I like vegetables so I’m not complaining about this dish. It was honestly a safely dish, but it came out last and we love everything else. So again, I’m not complaining.

Now, if you’re afraid or don’t like bone-in fish, make sure you go with something who knows how to serve and eat bone-in fish. I’m not too confident but did give it a go before handing over the reins to LM. The dish wasn’t overly spicy despite the name Green Chili; it was honestly just enough for the both of us. The noodles were surprisingly delish as well.

LET ME TELL YOU! This was exceptionally delish! We didn’t think it would be as delish as it was. It came out first and we couldn’t stop eating it while we talked and caught up with one another. LM and I literally had to tell each other and ourselves to stop eating so we would have room for our other two dishes. I looked at the other location menus and they didn’t have this dish so it might be special to this location only.

We had left overs because two people, three dish plus some rice is still too much even if we’re both foodies.

Onto location! Parking is relatively easy. You can park basically anywhere in the lot next to the restaurant; there are even signs stating where you can park. It shares a lot with Taco Cabana and a bank and the front of the restaurant is facing Kirby.

Price: $$ (between $11 – $25)
Location: Kirby || 3915 Kirby Dr, 77098
Overall Recommendation: Yes! Come to this location and try that Gold Eggplant!
